Elkhart, IN
Political Bourbon just received reports from workers who build RV’s in the Elkhart Indiana area that Dealers are canceling orders as sales have dropped as much as 80%. Workers at one plant (Cruiser RV) were advised that they will work every other Friday until further notice and will be shut down the first week of April.
With rising costs, interest rates, and now Diesel Fuel hitting $5.19 per gallon it should not be any surprise why the RV industry is taking a hit. Many in the area state that the RV industry is typically the first of many industries that start laying off when times get tough.
