The Governor of Florida has currently authorized theme parks the opportunity to submit a plan on how they could “safely reopen” their parks to help keep risk down. If the Governor and his staff feels the plan is reasonable, they could permit a reopening.
The Governor has also stated that he is communicating with sports event coordinators on utilizing facilities. Other states are not allowing any form of sporting events with or without fans in the stands, and it is causing an economic impact everywhere. DeSantis has offered for some of those sporting events to be held in vacant facilities across the state to help bring back some of the state’s economy.
The UFC is currently working with DeSantis on hosting an unoccupied event in Jacksonville and there have also been several gold tournaments taking place across the state with the biggest name golfers participating. The WWE has also been using their practice facility to host matches and recording shows to keep the viewers entertained.
So far, the state seems to be on a positive note regarding the safety of everyone and helping prevent further outbreak. Hopefully we can continue to move in a better direction while simultaneously bringing back the economy.
