Spring Hill Man Killed in High-Speed Crash on Deltona Boulevard

SPRING HILL, FL — A tragic single-vehicle crash claimed the life of a 22-year-old Spring Hill man on Sunday evening, April 13, 2025. The incident occurred at approximately 8:10 p.m. along Deltona Boulevard, just north of Regatta Circle.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving a Nissan Altima northbound at a high rate of speed when he failed to safely navigate a curve in the roadway. The vehicle left the road, began to rotate, and ultimately crashed into a vacant home located at 4434 Deltona Boulevard.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the collision and transported the driver to a nearby hospital. Despite medical efforts, the young man succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.

The vacant residence struck in the crash sustained structural damage, though no additional injuries were reported.

Florida Highway Patrol Public Affairs Officer Sergeant Steve Gaskins confirmed the details of the crash in an official statement. The incident remains under investigation, and authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased.

Speed is believed to have been a significant factor in the fatal accident. The Florida Highway Patrol continues to urge drivers to obey posted speed limits and drive responsibly, especially on residential roadways and at night when visibility and road conditions may present additional hazards.
