Lakeland, FL \u2013 Lakeland Regional Health is pleased to announce its plans to expand healthcare
services in the northern area of Polk County with the addition of a new ambulatory care site at the
corner of Kathleen Road and I-4. The targeted opening date is set for 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAccording to recent U.S. Census data over a two-year period, Polk County is one of the fastestgrowing areas in the nation,\u201d said Danielle Drummond, MS, FACHE, President and CEO of Lakeland
Regional Health. \u201cExpanding comprehensive healthcare services to meet the local health needs of
our area is one of our community objectives in our 5-year strategic plan. This new location will help
us to achieve that goal while also addressing some of the opportunities highlighted in our Community
Health Needs Assessment.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Located on about 20 acres, the building will provide space for outpatient care, as well as additional
services. \u201cProviding access to quality healthcare continues to be of vital importance to our
organization, and this new project will allow us to expand that care to the northern part of our
county,\u201d said Patrick Phillips, Senior Vice President of Business Development, Chief Strategy Officer,
Lakeland Regional Health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As the project gets underway, more information about the new location, including details about the
healthcare services offered, will be provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
